Mech Gedeona (Harbin, Manchuria, China)

1929-1935

Mech Gedeona (translated as the “Sword of Gideon”) was published in Harbin, Manchuria, China, by the Gideon’s Department. From 1929-1933, the periodical was issued once per month; in 1934-1935, it was issued bi-monthly. The Russian language publication, a magazine for Russian Christian youth, was usually 16 pages in length and included articles on Christian living, evangelicalism in Manchuria, and general notes and announcements. Issues in this presentation were scanned from microfilm produced by the Historical Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention in 1990.
